Glory announced: “I have a rare gift for you to thank you for your kindness. Three wishes shall be yours. However, before I go, there is one favor I would have from you.” And here’s the first of many seductive kisses, but it is the one that connects Bud and Glory. The one that opens the doorway. Footloose is a story that weaves fantasy, comedy, and a bit of angst. Things can go soooo many ways from the point the faerie further proclaims to Bud,“Lacey has to forget about me.” And then drops the bomb, “Everyone has to. Including you.”

The faerie wears glamours to hide herself and to wipe the memories clear of those humans she came into contact with during her temporary escapade into the human realm… until Bud can’t seem to forget her and makes the first of his three wishes which abruptly binds the faerie to him.

Throughout this tale, Glory and Bud are at the doorway to self-discovery at many levels where twists and surprises abound, the last one is a doozy. At the center of this story is a tale of two lovers who must learn to trust each other through thick and thin including a curse that takes them to the brink of tragedy. Their journey becomes a matter of the heart by which these two connect and plot a course to negotiate existing in each other’s world, until it becomes obvious that might not need to occur. Perhaps one of them might be more suitable to remain in the other’s province—not saying why or how but destiny will be served so expect the unexpected.

Ms. O’Sullivan weaves a rich and diverse faerie fantasy realm that draws the reader in. An adorable romance, creatively crafted, and well-written. A true feel-good story, Footloose and Faerie Free was a delightful escape for this reader’s weekend.

Footloose Faerie Free Drop dead gorgeous and deranged! edition by Rowena May O'Sullivan Romance eBooks Reviews

Great Fun visiting the Fae and the woods that shelter them... If only wishing would make it true! Easy reading and playful characters...
What a delightful contemporary romp between worlds! An absolute fun read curled up on a raining autumn evening, I enjoyed the energy between the main characters Glory and Bud. The plot went through some interesting twists and turns I didn't see coming - bringing in some delightful side characters adding to the chaos and romance.
An ancient curse keeps faeries and humans separated. It's up to a rebellious faerie and a unique human to break it.

This book made me laugh and cry. It is interesting, well thought out, and full of colorful, lovable characters. The characters know they aren't perfect and work to overcome that for each other.

The author did a great job on this one!
What a delightful light hearted story! This story was written with love and a little magic. Bud and Glory were meant to be together in both the faeries and the human realm. With Murphy and Jack thrown in for good measure the story was funny and a little sad at times. But the lightness of the story was a good read. Trust me when I say this story was a good love story with laughter and tears! No blood and Gore needed!
I need to dry my eyes to write this review. This is an extraordinary story of love! The whole kind that encompasses the entire world. Great characters, situations and good triumphs over bad. It needs better editing and it's entirely too wordy, making it tedious in spots. Still worth reading but flow could be greatly improved.
Footloose and Faerie Free tells the story of Bud, who is called in to judge the sanity of a beautiful nude woman who is being held by the police for indecent exposure and who claims to be a faerie. Much to Bud's surprise, Gloriane actually IS a faerie and offers Bud three wishes in exchange for his reciting the spell that will return her to her own realm. Much to his surprise, it works, only Gloriane isn't finished with Bud just yet. What follows is an enchanted Romeo and Juliet with a dash of slapstick.

I really enjoyed this book, which took several turns that I didn't see coming. I was particularly fond of the minor character Murphy, an Irish alcoholic who believes in faeries and becomes Glory's champion, and whom she helps to redeem himself in return. If you are looking for a fast paced, light-hearted read, Footloose and Faerie Free just might be the book for you!
A really cute story that probably would be better if Glory's manner of speaking was less juvenile and/or formal (If you read it, you'll understand. Another reviewer made a similar comment, and I understood upon reading.)
The plot is fun. If you like romantic fairy stories, this is for you. Bear in mind, there are occasional curse words and sex scenes that can be skipped. There are also word typos. At times, there are question marks that should probably be periods.
The characters are extremely likeable, and I'd like to read a sequel for the secondary characters, Jack and Triumphant. Author Felicia Mires
